ADDISON

It was great to hear again from Susan again, with whom I had worked before .. on a modified version of the LI-ANA.

Though a simple design, the presence of ADISSON is OUTSTANDING!! The main stone belongs to Susan and she had arranged to send it to me. The sides are diamonds of FG VVS quality .. very sparkly and full of fire! I am waiting for Susan's handshots .. and will post once i get them. Meanwhile enjoy ..

PEEKABOOHEARTS Band

Hey .. if you remember in my blog a few days ago "New Project Coming Up" i wrote abt a very unique band of tapered baguettes and light blue sapphire hearts .. well this band is completed and she loves it ! This band is designed by L who wanted a band of tapered baguettes (similar of that to BECKY) but wanted one to call her very own by adding on each side of the channelled baguettes 2 sapphires hearts. L's idea was to have the heart not so clearly visible from the top but instead lower; just about slightly lower than half eternity so that there is some sort of curiosity as to what they 'maybe' .. hence the name "PEEKABOOHEARTS" ! I really love this name as it expresses the intent of the ring design so much :) Okay less talk .. pictures and a video..

EVERYONE DESERVES A SECOND CHANCE !

I was catching up the news last evening on ChannelNewAsia, enjoying my dinner at the same time. What caught my attention was this report PRISONERS GET CREATIVE. The man behind this move is none other than PUEY QUINONES, a young but established filipino fashion designer, who has been conducting weekly workshop in a maximum security prison in the Philippines for the last one and a half year. It touched me to hear these inmates feeling a sense of hope and pride to know that thier work are appreciated outside the prison walls. I saw some of the work produced and they were really quite unique and pretty. One particular inmate could really draw directly onto a fabric piece with such ease. He was a natural ! It's good to know that there are people like Quinones who are paying back to society through this community work ... can't agree with you more that the everyone deserves a second chance. Thank you!

New Project Coming Up ..

Hi All,

I have to say this is really a very unique piece I am doing for L. It's a combination of tapered baguettes and hearts in light blue sapphire.

L wanted to use blue sapphire Hearts and the choice was either for the usual blue sapphire or the light blue sapphire. The light blue appeals to her more as they do have more sparkles :)



So here are the pictures of the combo..



L has approved the metalwork and I am keeping fingers crossed that I can take pictures of her finished project next weekend or early next week. This is going to be really 'one of a kind' .. in a very positive way however. I am excited but you can imagine how more excited L is !
