ARGENTIUM SILVER PEAR SOLITAIRE RING

I want to share with readers on my latest project working with ARGENTIUM SILVER. If you like to find out more of ARGENTIUM SILVER, just click on the hypertext. Briefly, this is a revolutionary solution to the traditional 925 Sterling Silver's woes. **ARGENTIUM SILVER is
  • highly tarnish resistant
  • firescale free
  • harder
  • purer
  • brighter
  • versatile
(**source from Argentium International Ltd .. www.argentiumsilver.com)

This first project is with a 10x7mm SparklingLizzie Brilliant (Barion) Pear in MN color, bezel set, with scroll basket gallery and it turned out beautifully. To finished off, the ring is rodium plated. My bench is very comfortable working with this metal and he has given his thumbs up. This metal will also take prong-setting.

Here are the metalworks pictures ..

.. and now for the finished piece ..

Just for fun .. on pretty backgrounds ..

.. handshots ..

It has a reasonable weight too ..

Any comments?

Very pretty, I don't care for bezel set, but the silver is beautiful.

Hey Ladies,

thanks for the positive comments. I really love the feel of this ring. it's not light and very gold-like.

Beautiful! Humm another option available....Is this metal hypoallergenic?

Liz, beautifully designed ring! The gallery is gorgeous and you don't see many bezel set pears. I think the use of silver is the best idea yet. Many BTDers have expressed an interest in your rings but have held back because of the current market price of gold.

This is so beautiful! When I get engaged in a few months, I will definitely e-mail you about custom works. One quick question -- how do you take such great pictures of the stones? What camera do you use? Thanks!

Thank you Mrs T! I use a Nikon but that's not all. I have some special lightings as aids as well.

Comments? here's mine...I LOVE IT AND WANT IT! But...would love it even more with a colored stone in it! Maybe something in a cornflower blue OR a blue/green color change :-)

Would this be possible? OH and am curious about pricing!

I'm not interested in a custom piece right now, but I was wondering about the price of the new silver you're using, out of curiousity strictly? Is it more than gold or much less?

Liz said...

Hi.. it is definitely lower than gold. However, labor cost for handmade pieces would be the same for gold or silver metal, as these piece will be made from scratch.

i'm intrigued that its rhodium plated as well as more tarnish resistant- and weighty too?? sounds like a great option.
