Blue as the Summer SKY

E contacted me early this year to discuss the setting of this 8mm (~3.5ct) square cut blue topaz which she won in a friendly contest. It has a very vivid blue and cut with an antique flair.. pouffy crown and sides.

See what I mean?

Meet SKY and this is her specs ..

18k White Gold
8mm (~3.5ct) Square Antique Cut Topaz, 4-prong
pave rb czs basket (n/s side only)
curved split plain cathedral band
joined at half eternity band of ~3.5mm tapering to 2.5mm to the back

I really had a lot of fun collaborating with E on her blue topaz ring; and even got to know her 5 year old lab, who volunteered his paw to model SKY . . just take a look at the pics below and you will see how sweet and adorable he is !

Now this is where SKY belongs .. E, you have beautiful hands and I would love to dress it up more :)

Wishing you blue skies always!
